Do these buildings look out of place?

Now that I've mastered the traffic in Cities Skylines, the only thing bothering me is the building sizes. I've downloaded a bunch of famous tall buildings from across the globe and what immediately struck me is how much taller they are than the vanilla buildings. Do they look out of place or is it just me?

Having not played this game (only because computer can't handle it, I'd love to) I will say they just look like downtown areas or "hot spots".

I think the vanilla buildings are just small.

From the air they often look ludicrous (because they are). It's all angles.

I'd put the skyscrapers in this area, sort of in the center of the city.

Other than the massive buildings, the rest are pretty small.

Ah, Cities Skylines definitely is the best city builder since Sim City 4 (which I played excessively for a veeery long time).

I would personally place them in in city centers/CBDs or areas where you can easily bump offices and high density residential areas to the max levels to even out the skyline's silhouette. I'm pretty sure the community (mainly SC4 modders) will keep releasing new buildings that will add taller growable skyscrapers over time so they don't stand out too much. It should look pretty neat if you add high density areas on the other side of the river and fade out the dense center with some low density residential areas.

I don't think it's the size as much as the way they're bunched together.

Honestly, this game has a funny way of determining on where a building should go.

Had a city on an island with inappropriately placed buildings. In there was a small house that was one of the first few buildings.
